Better late then never...

Well it's been a funky summer to say the least. With the incredible amount of rain and snow we had this year we were starting to think that the summer would never start. Now that water levels have settled the fishing is on fire.

I took a weekend off from guiding last weekend and headed up to the Sierra's with some buddies for a two day float trip. The hatches went off and there were plenty of fish for each angler. I highly recommend pontoon boats if you can afford one. You can cover so much more water that way thus giving you a better chance at more fish. Just rowing through white water is a good way to enhances the outdoor experience. Proceed with caution at be humble in a boat. It seems that most accidents in a boat come when someone is not respecting the river. Always wear a life jacket and never float alone.
